Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into the search forms are sent to the outside provider operating the results function. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. A message sent to us contains only the details in that message and is used to respond.

Our host may log routine technical information such as an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and access time. We review aggregate activity to maintain the service and understand use. Cookies or similar tools may support ordinary analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How We Use Information
Information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvement of the reference. We do not sell a visitor list or create individual visitor profiles.

Links may lead to county or Virginia portals, libraries, archives, and sponsored search services. The privacy rules of the destination govern information submitted there, including information entered into a sponsored result tool.

Virginia’s Consumer Data Protection Act, Va. Code §§59.1-575–585, provides covered consumers access, correction, deletion, portable-copy, and certain opt-out rights, subject to exemptions and authentication. Because this reference keeps little data, a request generally concerns the contact mailbox or technical logs. Use the Contact page to ask. That statute does not override Virginia or Henrico government-record rules, so a correction or removal request for a public record belongs with its custodian.
